Material in the rotor of the sand making machine

The rotor can be described as the core component of the sand making machine. The materials are mainly crushed and shaped here. Accumulation is a normal phenomenon. The key is that the amount of accumulation is appropriate. Too much or too little will affect the use of components and thus affect normal production.

What is the role of material accumulation in the rotor?

The accumulated material in the rotor of the sand making machine can protect the inner wall of the rotor, and more importantly, protect the rotor throwing head from direct wear and impact.

Insufficient accumulation will expose the throwing head, and the large stones in the material and the insert head will be directly cut, resulting in premature wear of the throwing head and causing the throwing head to fall off the clamping block grinding plate;

Excessive accumulation will also cause friction with the rotor, affecting the rotor's service life.

If the material accumulation inside the rotor is ideal, the wear on the upper and lower wear plates should be uniform, and the rotor throwing head can be fully utilized, thereby reducing production consumption. If not, then you need to look at the following adjustment principles and methods.

Basic principles of aggregate adjustment

  • 1. The accumulated material inside the rotor can protect the wearing parts and does not hinder the material from passing through the crusher.
  • 2. The accumulated material does not contact the side wall and bottom of the feed cylinder to prevent premature wear.
  • 3. The material flow in and out of each throwing port is the same, so that the wear level of the throwing head is similar.

Method of adjusting material accumulation

  • 1. Adjust the rotor

If the rotor has just been shipped without certain adjustment, it is generally difficult to achieve the ideal working state (normally, each rotor must be adjusted before being put into use).

Rotor adjustment refers to the control of the internal accumulation of the rotor. The internal accumulation can be controlled by changing the size, position, and shape of the guide plate. The main purpose of adjusting the rotor is to ensure that the accumulated material can spread the inserting head of the throwing head from the guide plate of the rotor, and keep the worn parts in the middle position of the throwing head.

  • 2. The adjustment method when the accumulation is insufficient

If the accumulated material is lower than the height of the throwing head, the width of the material guide plate should be increased until the accumulated material is close to the height of the throwing head. If the accumulated material begins to erode the feed barrel, the solution is to move the guide plate to the throwing head, which will move the peak of the accumulated material away from the feed barrel without reducing the accumulation of the throwing head.

  • 3. Adjustment method when there is too much material

If the accumulated material rubs against the feed cylinder, narrow the guide plate until the accumulated material starts to retract from the throwing head. If the accumulated material is still eroding the feed cylinder, move the guide plate forward, so that the peak of the accumulated material moves away from the feed cylinder again without reducing the accumulation of the throwing head.

The accumulated material in the rotor plays an important role in the wear of the components. For example, if the throwing head of your equipment wears too fast, it is not a problem to check whether it is inappropriate accumulation.
