Cone breaking fault analysis and solution

Failure analysis:

  • 1. Sealing device failure
  • In the production, pay attention to check the o-ring seal between the drive shaft frame and the main frame, the seal ring between the oil collector and the oil slinger, the wear of the o-ring seal ring between the oil slinger and the drive shaft. Because these parts will be deformed by wear after long-term use, the elasticity required for effective sealing is lost, and the sealing device fails, which may cause oil leakage of the equipment.

  • 2. Oil return pipe blockage
  • During production, check whether there is any dirt in the main oil drain hose or pipe. Check if there is any dirt in the long hole of the drive shaft frame under the drive shaft. The accumulation of dirt will hinder the flow of oil, especially the low oil temperature. At this time, the oil cannot be quickly discharged from the inside of the equipment, causing the cone crusher to leak oil.


  • 3. Improper work pressure
  • Lubricating oil enters the lower part of the main shaft from the inlet pipe and is rubbed by the lubricating friction disc. If the working pressure of the lubrication system is improper, the oil will be ejected from the shaft gap, causing the lubricating oil to leak downward along the outer circumference of the sealing cylinder.

  • 4. Unreasonable component clearance
  • If the gap between the inner wall of the base oil sump and the weight body slinger plate is too small, the lubricating oil between them will easily form an oil seal under the action of tension during the working process of the cone crusher. Under the pressure of the air pressure, the oil seal will continuously overflow from the dust seal along the inner wall of the main frame.


  • 1. To ensure the normal operation of the equipment, it is recommended to check the sealing device regularly.
  • 2. When there is dirt in the return pipe, clean the return pipe in time to avoid blockage of the return pipe.
  • 3. Adjust the working pressure of the lubrication system.
  • 4. Adjust the component clearance.
