The root cause of the deviation of the belt is that the combined force of the external force of the tape in the belt width direction is not zero, or the tensile stress perpendicular to the belt width direction is uneven, resulting in the reaction force of the roller or the roller on the belt. A component force to one side, which causes the belt to shift to one side under the action of this component. The common deviation phenomenon is as follows.
This situation is usually caused by the installation. Since the centers of the three are not in a straight line, the longitudinal centerline of the belt is not perpendicular to the axis of the drum, causing the belt conveyor to run off during operation.
A belt conveyor has multiple rollers. All rollers must be installed perpendicular to the centerline of the tape and parallel to the horizontal plane. If the installation level of the roller is not enough, the roller is axially tilted, or one end of the roller is at the front end. Therefore, the installation position of the drum and the longitudinal center line of the tape are not perpendicular, or the axis of the drum is not parallel to the horizontal plane, and the combined force of the external force of the belt in the belt width direction is not zero, and the belt will deviate in the direction indicated by the resultant force.
Commonly used belt joints are available in mechanical joints and vulcanized joints. Either way, the joint is required to be flat. If the joint is not correct, the tension on both sides of the belt will be inconsistent, so that it will run off during operation. The deviation caused by the improper use of the tape joint is where the tape joint runs and where the deviation occurs.
When the belt conveyor is installed, the center line of the roller set should not be more than 3.0mm to the center line of the conveyor frame, and the upper surface of the idler should be on the same horizontal plane or inclined surface. If the roller group installation error is too large or the fastening bolts are loose, the belt will be deflected.
The conveyor belt is easily damaged during the operation. When the damage degree on both sides of the center line of the conveyor belt is different, the elongation rate on both sides often changes. When the elongation ratios on both sides are different, the belts on both sides are caused. When the elongation is inconsistent, it is easy to cause the belt to run off.
When the material unloading point is not in the middle of the tape, the uneven distribution of the tape on the two sides of the longitudinal center line due to the eccentric load, the difference between the two is large, which will directly lead to the deviation of the conveyor belt during operation. If the conveyor belt does not run off when it is empty, and always shifts to one side when it is heavy, it indicates that the conveyor belt has been eccentric. At this point, the position of the hopper or conveyor should be adjusted so that the conveyor belt is loaded to prevent it from running off.
When the material falls on the belt, the belt will have an impact due to the gravity and inertia of the material, which may cause the belt to run off.
For a material having a certain viscosity such as iron powder, it is unevenly adhered to the idler roller and the roller after being scattered, so that the roller or the roller is partially uneven, and the deviation occurs due to uneven tension. After the deviation, the phenomenon of bulk material is more serious, causing a vicious circle. In wet weather and seaport operations, the probability of such failures is high. Therefore, the cleaning device of the tape should ensure normal operation.
If the error between the center line of the belt conveyor and the installation position of the roller is large, the belt will be subjected to lateral force during operation, causing the belt to run off to one side in the bearing section. If the orientation of the reversing roller and the roller set is not correct, then the forward or backward will be lighter and will gradually return to the centerline of the rack. However, if the drive roller is tilted, the resulting deviation will become more and more serious.
